*Number of axes running on a single target is dependent on FPGA size and code optimization. NI SoftMotion shipping examples are meant for general use cases and are not optimized for running more than a few axes on select targets before "filling up" the FPGA. Code optimization beyond the examples is often required to run between 4 and 16 axes on select targets. This can be performed by the customer or is also available as a paid service from Sisu Devices.
